The Altendorf Group will be displaying various innovations at this year’s Holz-Handwerk under the motto of “You never work alone”. The main focus of the innovations is on safety, efficiency, digitalisation and service for the woodworking trade in the future.
According to Altendorf, its R&D team has been working on bringing new products to market as well as adding new features to already established series. Among some of the products they will be featuring are the HAND GUARD safety assistance system, the K- and F-series edgebanders, and the myALTENDORFGROUP application.
The HAND GUARD, which previously was certified by the German Employers’ Liability Insurance Association for Wood and Metal with a “GS” seal, is a artificial intelligence (AI)- and camera-based safety assistance system that reportedly prevents up to 120 reportable sliding table saw accidents per month in Germany.
For the company’s Hebrock K- and F-series edgebanders, Altendorf has added new features to them. It has also released the new F 35 edgebander, which offers more operating comfort and performance with a larger display and additional functions.
Lastly, the myALTENDORFGROUP application aims to make processes at the machines more efficient, whereby all Altendorf Group machines can be managed on the application. In addition to other functions, a support request can be started at any time via chat or video function.
The Altendorf Group will be presenting at the Holz-Handwerk trade fair from 12-15 Jul 2022 in the Nuremberg Exhibition Center, Nuremberg, Germany, at Hall 9, Stand 9-318.
