Xylexpo 2022 commences countdown

Xylexpo 2018

Xylexpo 2022 is set to open from 12-15 Oct 2022, with reportedly 280 exhibitors hailing from Italy and across the world, representing various wood and furniture manufacturing technologies.

According to the organisers of Xylexpo, the sales of exhibition space closed in early September. Dario Corbetta, exhibition manager, commented: “This year, we preferred to avoid dispersion, doing our best to place all exhibitors in two halls, avoiding ‘appendixes’ that are less appealing to visitors.

“We considered that this Xylexpo would be different from the past, for the reasons we all know, and we made decisions to support the quality of the event rather than the sales of exhibition area.

“As a result, we have a long waiting list of companies that – having delayed their decision to participate for too long – will not be able to join us in October.”

Hall 22 and 24 of the exhibition hall Fieramilano in the town of Rho, Italy, will host all of the exhibitors with an occupied space of 36,000 square metres. Beyond the physical space, Xylexpo 2022 will also have a digital format.

Corbetta explained: “We know that, just like any other exhibition in this period, we will have to face smaller numbers and new needs, starting from our initiative ‘Xylexpo Digital’.

“Our offer is tangible and easily accessible even after the end of the show: we will have a real TV channel that, during the first three exhibition days, will allow anyone to attend the Xylexpo Arena events from a distance, as well as visit the stand of the exhibitors who decided to take part in this project.

“With our crews moving around the booths, we will offer live streaming coverage with ‘guided tours’ portraying meetings, opinions, products and atmosphere.”
