Xylexpo 2022 announces visitor figures

Xylexpo 2022

Xylexpo 2022 concluded on 15 Oct 2022 with more than 16,000 unique visitors over four days of exhibition for the wood and furniture technology industry.

According to the organisers of Xylexpo, the figure reaches up to 22,000 when considering a single visitor came back several times during the exhibition days.

These figures were in line with the last Xylexpo exhibition held pre-COVID in 2018. However, the number of international visitors decreased from 28% in 2018 to 25% in 2022, due to the closure of markets such as China, Russia and Ukraine.

The biennial exhibition was held in conjunction with a digital communication show for the first time. Out of the 16,000 visitors, 12,356 were recorded at the entrance turnstiles, while at least 4,000, according to early but accurate estimates, came in from Viscom Italia and most of all from 33.BI MU.

Luigi De Vito, president of the exhibition and Acimall, said: “The figures have confirmed not only the role of Xylexpo, but also the decisions we made for this edition, aimed at redesigning the layout and focusing on the elements that will be the pillars of future exhibitions: a different strategy in product presentation and a strong focus on new digital services that can only expand the scope and function of an exhibition.”
