Woodtech Egypt, the international exhibition for timber, design and technology, will be held in Cairo from 16 – 18 February. The event is organised by MEDEXPO EGYPT JSC in co-operation with Chamber of Commerce Damietta-Furniture sector. It also organised the first WOODTECH FORUM in Damietta, held in November 2016.

The European Panel Federation will host the “EPF for Africa” forum during the Fair in Cairo.
“We will join the WOODTECH EGYPT Fair in Cairo. It is an excellent opportunity to extend contacts with Egypt and with Africa in general. It is currently EPF’s intention to host a seminar where an update from Europe will be presented, and also invite African attendees to give briefings on their own local issues with regards to wood-based panels, their production, marketing and use in furniture and construction,” said EPF Managing Director Clive Pinnington.

The second WOODTECH FORUM in Damietta (11 to 13 November 2017) on the other hand offers the opportunity to meet key players in furniture and wooden products in Egypt and North Africa.

WOODTECH EGYPT gives potential investors access to the Egyptian North African markets. The first edition of the forum registered more than 3,000 trade visitors during the two days of the event; attracted professionals from the sectors of wood, furniture industry, materials, wood marketing and design from the city of Damietta, as well as from Cairo and Alexandria. 270 scheduled B2B meetings were held, revealing the interest in business deals, which were materialised in the form of commercial transactions in all sectors of interest.
The industry also had the opportunity to meet some very important people in the Egyptian Governement involved in the Damietta Furniture City project.
