WMF 2022: A 3-in-1 expo for the woodworking industry

The Shanghai International Furniture Machinery & Woodworking Machinery Fair (WMF) was held from 5-8 Sep 2022, at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shanghai, China.

Exhibiting along with China International Furniture Fair (CIFF) Shanghai and China Construction Expo (CBD) Shanghai, these three shows gather to tie up the upstream and downstream of the furniture manufacturing chain and create a more fruitful, professional and international platform.

With an exhibition area of 45,000 square metres and 300 exhibitors, WMF 2022 was expected to attract 30,000 visitors. On 5 Sep, a VIP Tour is arranged to kick start the fair with more than 20 specialists from the woodworking industry invited, including Liu Qun, the president of China National Forestry Machinery Association, Wei Jian, the secretary-general of China National Forestry Machinery Association, and Parry Chung, general manager of Adsale Exhibition Services.

In addition, associations and delegations from Jiangxi, Guangxi, Heilongjiang, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Fujian provinces are invited to visit the fair for procurement.

Exhibitors have displayed furniture manufacturing equipment, wood-based panel production technology, upholstered furniture production technology, surface treatment technology, tool accessories and raw and auxiliary materials, and more to meet the needs of the industrial chain with supply need.

Key exhibitors included Nanxing Machinery, HOMAG, Biesse, Weinig, Dieffenbacher, Andritz, KDT, Lamello, IPCO, Berndorf, and more.

WMF also offered open talks and forums, with 12 specialists invited to share nine different themes of the fair, such as new material trends, electron beam (EB) coating, digital printing, and finishing technology.

The exhibition was held both physically and digitally, with live-streaming sessions to bring the exhibition and focus products to the audience in real time, and online exhibition and online business matching sessions to connected exhibitors with interested visitors.
