
Weinig has appointed Dr Georg Hanrath, 56-years-old, as their new CTO. Alongside CEO Gregor Baumbusch and CFO Axel Steiger, Hanrath is responsible for the area of technology with effect from 1 Feb 2022.
Hanrath studied mechanical engineering with a focus on manufacturing or production technology at RWTH Aachen University in Germany, where he also completed his doctorate degree. From 1997-2003, he held various positions at subsidiaries of ThyssenKrupp, a company specialised in industrial engineering and steel production, in Germany and the US. During that time, he became a Master of Science in Organisational Leadership and Quality in the US.
Hanrath also previously worked at Gildemeister, Starrag Group Holding, and was also a member of the Group Management Board of Leitz.

Weinig is a technology provider for the solid wood and panel processing industry and small businesses.
