VRG Dongwha celebrates the official opening of its second MDF factory in Vietnam. The line features state-of-the-art technology from European equipment manufacturers. At the centre of production is the 25.5m Generation 8 Contiroll from Siempelkamp. (The entire line, from the energy plant to automatic storage area is also supplied by Siempelkamp.) Dongwha MDF 2 produced the first board on March 30 this year and is targeting an annual capacity of 180,000m3. By end 2017, Mr Kim Yang Il, deputy general director, says the line will produce 120,000m3, in just eight months after the first board.
Mr Kim also stresses due diligence and training as key to a successful wood-based panel factory.
