UK government minister Nick Boles is to be the keynote speaker at the Confederation of Timber Industries’ (CTI) inaugural conference in October.
Mr Boles is the minister of state in the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, and will be joined by other prominent speakers at the October 26 event in the heart of Westminster.
CTI will also be presenting its policy reports on business growth, skills and the environment in the timber supply chain. This will be followed by a debate about its policy recommendations with around 200 decision makers and opinion formers from the industry and Westminster.
“This historic event is the result of a very fruitful partnership between CTI and its members,” said CTI Chief Executive Dirk Vennix.
Event premium sponsor is Nexus CIFS with Arbor Forest Products, Danzer, International Timber, Jewson, Lathams and SCA backing the conference as co-sponsors.
“I am confident that the CTI conference will trigger a constructive debate on the future of the UK timber industry, ” added Mr Vennix.
