The 51st edition of CIFF Guangzhou, China has closed its doors with a record-high attendance and a turnout rate of 28% more visitors compared to 2019, the last edition held before the pandemic.
Wrapping up eight days on 31 March 2023, the 51st CIFF Guangzhou 2023 occupied 700,000m2 of exhibition space divided among 4,000 exhibitors. It was attended by 380,763 trade visitors from 166 countries across the world.

This new organisational strategy saw CIFF as a furniture fair that covered the sector’s supply chain, integrated traditional exhibition space with online activities to contribute to the development of the furniture industry. This was a trade fair that offered solutions in line with consumer trends of designers, buyers, distributors, e-commerce operators, and real estate developers.

At the 10 thematic exhibitions, 125 conferences at CIFF Guangzhou featured proposals of product design ideas by the sector’s leading brands in response to the demands of the market. Designers, market experts, trade associations, and universities, exchanged knowledge about the qualitative growth of Chinese products.
The 51st CIFF Guangzhou 2023 was held in two phases, divided into three exhibitions: home furniture, office and commercial space, and CIFM interzum Guangzhou.
During the first phase, from 18-21 Mar 2023, the spotlight was on the world of the home, from interior furniture to outdoor living.
The home furniture exhibition provided solutions for the customisation of domestic spaces, accessible design and quality as well as approaches to sustainability involving the use of natural materials for new furnishing solutions integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) to improve quality of life.
The home decor and home textile component featured trends in interior design, from furnishing accessories to lighting to decorative paintings. The outdoor and leisure segment offered different open-air solutions for quality and comfort.

The second phase, from 28-31 Mar 2023, featured the world of work and commercial spaces with a focus on education and healthcare facilities, and technologies essential to the furniture industry.
At the office and commercial space, companies showed solutions for workplaces to meet the needs of improving performance and productivity. This was applicable to public commercial spaces, healthcare, and facilities for older people, as well as schools.
With a range of technology and semi-finished products offered by Chinese and international brands for machinery, materials, surfaces, and hardware at the CIFM interzum Guangzhou, the trade fair served as both a business platform in Asia and a designated forum to combine a culture of good design with the needs of global commerce.
The next edition of CIFF Guangzhou 2024 is anticipated to be on 18-21 Mar 2024 for its first phase and on 28-31 Mar 2024 for the second phase at the Canton Fair Complex and Poly World Trade Centre (PWTC) in Guangzhou, Pazhou, China.
