With both an energy positive structure that will be able to offset its carbon footprint within the next four decades and a BREEAM Outstanding score, The Energy Academy Europe (EAE), winner of the International BREEAM Awards 2017 in the category of Mixed Use & Other, is the most sustainable building in The Netherlands, according to ArchDaily.
In an institute where education, industry, and research intertwine to innovate in the field of energy, the natural elements of air, earth, sunlight, and water can be found, with wood – representing earth – found abundantly in the structure, façade, and interior of the building.
