In the indigenous language of the natives from the east coast of Taiwan, the word “a’tolan” means “a place with many rocks.” Similarly, on the eastern seaboard of Taiwan, adjacent to the Pacific Ocean, the A’tolan House sits, constructed with traditional native architectural techniques.
Designed by Create + Think Design Studio and built with wood and stone, among other materials, the House has won numerous awards, including the Architizer A+ Award and the TID Gold Award.
