
Organised by RX Tüyap in cooperation with Turkish Woodworking Machinery Industrialists Association (AIMSAD) and European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (EUMABOIS), WoodTech Fair, now in its 36th edition, will welcome visitors from 19-23 Oct 2023 at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul, Turkey.
This year’s edition sees a 35% expansion in space compared to 2022, and to accommodate to this expansion, WoodTech will be held in 10 halls. More than 250 companies and company representatives will be participating.
The fair will showcase wood cutting, wood processing and computerised numerical control (CNC) machines, electrical and mechanical hand tools, cutting tools, basic services that increase wood technology experience, support systems and complementary products under the same roof.
In its 36th year, the fair aims to meet all the expectations in the sector with a scope where it brings together the important components of the woodworking technologies sector.
Visitors from over 70 countries including Eurasian countries being the ones around the Middle East countries, the Balkans, North Africa, Russia, as well as UAE, US, England, Poland, Italy, France, Spain, Israel, Serbia, Jordan, Lebanon, Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco have already registered to visit the show.
The organisers estimate that “thousands of visitors from over 120 countries” will participate at the upcoming fair.
Exporting US$152m worth of goods by the end of 2022, the Turkish wood processing machinery industry surpassed its previous record of $126m at the end of 2021. The industry exported goods to 150 countries throughout the year with 45 of these buying goods worth $1m or above.
Last year, WoodTech was held in conjunction with sub-furniture trade fair Intermob Fair. This edition sees the separation of these two fairs, with Intermob Fair held from 30 Sep-3 Oct 2023.
