Steinert Technology Day in Bangkok
Steinert Machinery was off to a good start this morning for the first of the many Technology Days to come. Regional customers and colleagues, as well as engineers from Europe flew in for the event in Bangkok, Thailand, to tap on this opportunity to discuss requirements.
Located near Suvanarbhumi International Airport, the showroom houses a variety of high-to-medium-end machines from Germany and Turkey. Some of these brands are AES, MAKSER, Houfek, Venjakob and Heesemann.
“These have been selected specifically for the Asian market,” Ralf Sundmaeker, sales director, said.
“The event today gives our customers and partners the opportunity to learn and get to know each other,” he added.
Machines in the showroom are typically kept for a year to allow furniture manufacturers to test and understand how it works.
“Having a showroom and office that provides consumables, machines, servicing and technical help under one roof is great. This is very important for us because our machines are imported,” said Manila-based Mr Nelson Chan, sales manager for Latimco.
Steinert also plans to launch similar events in other cities where it has a presence. The company has been in Southeast Asia for more than 20 years and has offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Manila and Kuala Lumpur.
“I thank our suppliers and guests for coming, and giving us the opportunity to show you what we can do,” Mr Sundmaeker said.
