Siempelkamp strengthens digital presence with LIGNA.IN and exploreSiempelkamp

Discover Siempelkamp live at the LIGNA.Innovation Network

Even before the LIGNA.Innovation Network (LIGNA.IN) goes live, Siempelkamp’s digital platform, exploreSiempelkamp, is entering a decisive phase. From 24 Sep 2021, the last content level welcomes trade visitors to the leading trade fair for the wood-based panels industry with a pre-opening. Two live-streaming events during LIGNA.IN on 28 and 29 Sep also invite visitors to engage in direct dialogue.

With the integration into LIGNA.IN, Siempelkamp strengthens its digital campaign around the mega trends sustainability, digitalisation as well as the core competence “one-stop-shop”, and is looking forward to welcoming LIGNA.IN visitors with new content.

Starting on 24 Sep, before the start of the LIGNA.Innovation Network, the latest exploreSiempelkamp phase will go online. It establishes the direct connection to Siempelkamp products and technologies.

Prominent guest speakers also invite visitors to take “Explore now!” literally in many multimedia presentations. For example, Dr Thomas Bauernhansl, director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation in Stuttgart, shares his visions on the topic of digitalisation and Big Data management. Dr Michael Schöler, head of Siempelkamp Research and Development, meets Professor Dipl.-Ing. Torsten Leps, specialist for materials science in the field of wood and wood-based materials at the TH Rosenheim, for a future talk. Both will discuss the future of the wood-based panels industry and the question of what options sustainability and resource efficiency hold for the industry.

Also available are videos which Siempelkamp produced together with EGGER at Unterradlberg in Austria, and at IKEA in Hanover. Visitors may also take a “shop floor tour” through the Siempelkamp plant in Qingdao with Henry Yang, CEO of Siempelkamp China.

Siempelkamp also invites customers and partners to make appointments with Siempelkamp contact persons via the meet-up function during LIGNA.IN. During the trade fair, they will live-stream two sessions: one will cover the topic of sustainability and annual plants, another will focus on future-oriented Siempelkamp concepts such as the digital control system ProdIQ, condition monitoring and steel belt monitoring.
