Sherwood Lumber opens new distribution centre with a grand opening

Sherwood Lumber Corp., a leader, innovator, and solutions provider for the Lumber and Building Materials Industries that specialises in quality engineered wood, lumber, and panel products, recently announced the grand opening of their newest distribution centre strategically located in Stockton, Northern California, the United States (US).

“Sherwood Lumber opened the doors to its first distribution centre back in 1956, and today the Company operate a myriad of regional distribution and reload facilities from coast-to-coast providing first-class customer service and products to our diverse customer base,” Chief Operating Officer of Sherwood Lumber, Kyle Little, said. “This expansion is very exciting for our company, and is the second phase of our regional growth plan which was first announced with the opening of our California sales office on January 9th of this year.”

Sherwood’s new facility boasts an 80,000 sqft (7,432 sqm) warehouse as well as four acres (1.6 hectares) of storage and staging area that is outside for their Engineered Wood Products “cut & pack” services. The centre will provide buyers with an exhaustive range of products for wholesale distribution, including cedar shakes and shingles, fire treated plywood and lumber, oriented strand boards (OSB), glue-laminated (glulam) beams and column, sanded plywood, and western plywood among many others.
