SCM has concluded their participation at the recent International Mass Timber Conference which took place in the US from 12-14 Apr 2022, announcing the success of their attendance.
According to the company’s press release, SCM welcomed many visitors and illustrated them its vision for the future of green buildings and the latest OIKOS XL and AREA XL computer numerical control (CNC) machining centres.
These CNC machining centres were developed to serve a North American market that has experienced an increase in the number of multi-storey buildings in wood, both for private and public buildings. The SCM latest “XL” solutions have been designed and manufactured for these specific requirements.
The International Mass Timber Conference also marked the debut of SCM’s new commercial partnership with Randek, the Swedish provider of high-performance technologies for prefabricated houses.
People attending the event have reportedly shown interest in this global collaboration, which offers the market a range of solutions for structural beams, cross-laminated timber (CLT) and prefabricated building elements.
