SCA Timber Supply UK Acquires Swedscot Timber

In a move to expand capabilities, SCA Timber has acquired Swedscot Timber. SCA Timber Supply UK comprises of three business streams located at Stoke, Welshpool, Melton and Cumbernauld. They supply a range of timber and associated products to the home improvement and building material sector. Combined, SCA has a manufacturing capability of 140,000 and 15,000 timber treatment facilities.

Swedscot services the builder’s merchant market with timber and associated products. It was established in 2003 and has been based in Cumbernauld since 2011. SCA has also acquired additional property next to the Swedscot operation in order to expand upon current trading activities.

All existing Swedscot employees will remain under the leadership of the previous owner, Steven McRitchie. with the acquisition, McRitchie is now General Manager for the Scottish operation, which will be rebranded as SCA Merchant Services.
