Ralf Dieter to become new HOMAG Group CEO

Ralf W. Dieter will take over as HOMAG CEO effective 1 January 2021

HOMAG Group AG has announced that Ralf W. Dieter is taking over as chief executive officer (CEO), and that Gerhard Federer, member of the supervisory board of HOMAG Group AG, was elected as the new chairman of the supervisory board.

With effect from 1 January 2021, Dieter will hold this position as CEO in addition to his function as CEO of Dürr AG.

In this context, Dieter will resign from his role as chairman of the supervisory board of HOMAG Group AG and his membership of the supervisory board as of 31 December 2020. Federer will begin his stint as chairman of the supervisory board of HOMAG Group AG from 1 January 2021.

“Due to my long-standing function as chairman of the supervisory board of HOMAG Group, I know the company very well. I am very much looking forward to now taking over operational responsibility for the HOMAG Group,” said Dieter.

At the end of September 2020, Pekka Paasivaara, former CEO of the HOMAG Group, announced that he would not be available for a contract extension and will be leaving the company by mutual agreement on 31 December 2020.

“Pekka Paasivaara has played a major role in the further development of HOMAG. He has been particularly successful in driving forward the expansion of HOMAG´s international business,” commented Dieter. As of 1 January 2021, the management board of HOMAG Group AG will consist of Ralf W. Dieter and chief financial officer Rainer Gausepohl.

Dr Jochen Weyrauch, member of the management board of Dürr AG, is to become member of the supervisory board of HOMAG Group AG. The application for the court appointment has been filed. Dr Steffen Lorscheider, partner at legal consultants Spieker & Jäger, Dortmund, succeeds supervisory board member Dr Jochen Berninghaus, who passed away earlier this year.
