Malaysian wood-based panels – a diversity of choice
The wood-based panel industry in Malaysia consists of plywood and veneer mills, and plants manufacturing Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF), particleboard, blockboard and Oriented Strand Board (OSB). Developed over the years, these mills are capable of providing a consistent supply of wood-based panels for overseas and local markets.

Luyuan: The pioneer in thin MDF board manufacturing industry (Part 1)
2,117,000 cubic metres – the total output of thin medium density fi breboards produced by Luyuan in Yangjiang from 2008 to 2017 was far beyond the designated annual capacity of 136,000 cubic metres when the factory was being constructed. 330 million yuan was the total amount of taxes contributed by Yangjiang Luyuan from 2008 to 2017, accounting for almost 3 per cent of the annual fi scal revenue of Yangdong District.
