Furniture, plywood and sawn timber top earners for Malaysian timber industry
Wooden furniture, together with plywood and sawn timber, are ranked the top three foreign exchange earners for the Malaysian timber industry. These three products combined, in recent years, constitute more than RM15 billion(US$3.65 billion) or about 70 per cent of Malaysia’s total export of timber and timber products annually, said Chairman of the Malaysian Timber Council (MTC), Dato’ Low Kian Chuan.
