Open call for Maine Mass Timber Design Competition

This year, the Maine Mass Timber Design Competition will be focusing on generating design ideas and implementing emerging technology that offers certain promises for the state’s economy.

The competition is open to professionals and students alike, and participants are allowed to form teams of up to four members, though interdisciplinary teams are encouraged.

Registration is free, and will be closing on the 13th of August, Monday. The last day of submission is Monday, the 17th of September 2018.

According to ArchDaily, The winners will be revealed on the 11th of October at an awards ceremony at the University of Maine Mass Timber Conference, held at the University of Maine, Orono, Maine, United States (U.S.). The winner of the first prize will receive US$5,000.
