New theme for DOMOTEX 2018 to reflect new trends and demand in global flooring sector

DOMOTEX has announced major enhancements for 2018, including changes to the exhibition’s layout.

A new theme, “UNIQUE YOUNIVERSE”, puts the spotlight on trends, new inspiration and an abundance of new offerings – all contributing to enhancing the DOMOTEX 2018 experience for exhibitors and visitors.

“We are receiving highly positive feedback about the changes at DOMOTEX. Many exhibitors now see the new site and hall layout as an opportunity to redefine their position at DOMOTEX and profit from this,” said Susanne Klaproth, DOMOTEX project manager. “Many companies have already registered, allowing us to consider them in our new hall layouts from the very start. Over two-thirds of the available display space have already been filled.”

UNIQUE YOUNIVERSE: New lead theme generates new opportunities

“UNIQUE YOUNIVERSE” creates new opportunities for exhibitors to align their product offerings under this theme. The theme stands for the strong trend towards individualisation, as products and services are being increasingly personalised.

Consumers are also increasingly keen to be involved in the process of product development. New, innovative technologies make it possible to support the personalised customer experience.

“Individuality and quality are in greater demand than ever for home furnishings inside your own four walls,” remarked Jürgen Knauth, general manager of pro Office Büro + Wohnkultur in Hannover. “An ever-growing number of people wants to create their own personal living spaces. Consequently, we are working together with our customers to develop holistic interior solutions with a personal touch.”

He added that a personalised living experience increases well-being, contentment and relaxation.

Framing Trends: An immersive experience inspired by the show’s lead theme

Visitors will be able to see the latest trends and creative product presentations in Hall 9, where brand and lifestyle-oriented companies are offering diverse experiences – both by means of company exhibits as well as a special “Framing Trends” display that serves as a first port of call and source of inspiration for visitors.

The “Framing Trends” display is divided into four modules, each one staged by providers from different disciplines. “Flooring Spaces” will feature creative product presentations by floor covering providers; “Living Spaces” will feature exhibitors and partner enterprises from the interior design sector; “NuThinkers” will see students teaming up with young designers and startups to showcase their innovative ideas; “Art & Interaction” will feature presentations from the world of art and design.

Talks, guided tours, networking opportunities and meeting areas will be available.

DOMOTEX 2018 will run from January 12 – 15, 2018.
