From new individual machines and integrated cell concepts and robotics to complete system solutions that suit various applications, production levels, and performance classes, HOMAG will be featuring a variety of their solutions at the upcoming LIGNA 2023.
Software
HOMAG is presenting updates to their woodWOP software. The new version, version 8.1, has new features and enhancements, such as the improved pocket processing programming, and a new nesting plug-in that allows users to manually position and nest individual woodWOP programmes on an unprocessed panel directly in woodWOP.
Other software that HOMAG is spotlighting include SmartWOP for furniture design and productionManager to manage data, and woodCommander 5 for internal and external data exchange.
Furniture manufacturing equipment
HOMAG is also presenting the DRILLTEQ V-310, a vertical computer numerical control (CNC) processing centre launched in 2022, which can work around the clock with consistent quality. It allows small and medium-sized companies to save time and reduce the workload for employees.
LIGNA 2023 visitors will be privy to the world premieres of SAWTEQ B-300 and B-400 by HOMAG: New panel dividing saws which combine performance, speed and reliable technology with increased intelligence and digital, self-learning functions.
One of the various features of the SAWTEQ B-300 and B-400 include the intelliGuide Classic operator assistance system, which guides operators through the cutting process safely and intuitively using LED signals.
Visitors will also see the launch of a new, revised range of STORETEQ panel storage technology, which meets the requirements of both small woodworking shops as well as large industrial furniture manufacturers.
HOMAG has improved the portfolio through the introduction of a feeding solution for the entry-level segment as well as, for the first time ever, second-level and dual-level storage systems.
Timber construction, wood processing, value stream optimisation
Beyond software and products for furniture manufacturing, HOMAG is also presenting solutions for timber construction, wood processing, and intralogistics.
WEINMANN will be presenting an automated and collaborative production cell, the FEEDBOT W-500 robot and WALLTEQ M-300 multi-function bridge.
The FEEDBOT W-500 automatically places panels on the framework, and with the WALLTEQ M-300, the cell secures and processes the structural element independently, and is characterised by a high degree of flexibility for processing different materials.
Solutions from System TM, which specialise in wood processing, and Kallesoe, which specialise in high-frequency presses for mass timber elements, will also be available at LIGNA 2023.
Schuler Consulting will be presenting their digital value stream optimisation tool as well, which aims to make flows of materials and goods visible via a tracking system and records machine data by using external sensors, independent of the machine brand and age.
Other solutions and services that HOMAG will be presenting include, but not limited to: the ControllerMES production control system; new trimming chain unit by Benz Tooling; EDGETEQ series, such as EDGETEQ S-500 with LOOPTEQ O-600.
LIGNA is held from 15-19 May 2023.
