Headquartered in Irving, Texas, United States (U.S.), MJB Wood Group, Inc. has finalised the acquisition of assets of Pacific MDF Products, Inc. of Arkansas, El Dorado, Arkansas, U.S., and Pacific MDF Products, Inc. of South Carolina, Clio, South Carolina, U.S., which both collectively do business under the brand, Pac Trim.
Pacific MDF Products manufactures and produces a full line of interior medium-density fibreboard (MDF) moulding to the industrial, pro-dealer, and retail market sectors. Under the agreement, Pacific MDF Products, based in Rocklin, California, U.S., and Canadian MDF Products Company in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, will continue to own and operate its facilities in California and Canada.
Following the completion of the transaction, employees in the El Dorado and Clio facilities are expected to remain.
The acquisition has left MJB in the position of the largest MDF millwork manufacturer in the U.S., taking it from a regional manufacturer to a national supplier of high quality MDF moulding with a superior finish, as well as expanding its distribution capacity to markets in the south and northeast of the country. Additionally, the acquisition reinforces MJB’s manufacturing footprint and makes room for future growth in the industrial market sector.
