Metsä Group has announced plans to integrate maintenance operations of its plywood and Kerto LVL mills as part of its own organisation.

Currently, the maintenance of the company’s plywood and Kerto LVL mills has been outsourced to the industrial maintenance company Quant.

Quant is a Sweden-based specialist in maintaining and improving the safety, production and equipment performance for various industries.

If the plan is realised, the maintenance operations would be integrated as part of Metsä Group’s wood products industry organisation Metsä Wood.

Metsä Group has various Kerto LVL and plywood mills across Finland, such as in Lohja city, Punkaharju municipality, Suolahti town, and more.

Currently, the group has another Kerto LVL mill in the works in Äänekoski.
