The largest specialty retailer of hardwood flooring in North America, Lumber Liquidators, has appointed Martin “Marty” Agard as chief financial officer (CFO) and Christopher Thomsen as senior vice president & chief information officer. Interim CFO Greg Whirley will still remain in his role as senior vice president, finance.
Mr Agard joins Lumber Liquidators from Kohler Company, where he served as CFO whilst Mr Thomsen was from Hibbett Sports, Inc., where he was vice president and chief information officer.
Lumber Liquidators was in an allegation where a report by CBS’s “60 Minutes” earlier this year incriminated that the company’s laminate products from China contained toxic levels of formaldehyde that led to several investigations and numerous lawsuits.
The scandal resulted in the leaving of CEO Robert Lynch and CFO Daniel Terrell.
In August, the company won the ruling on cancer warnings.
