LIGNA 2023: Leitz tools for structural timber and solid wood processing

Leitz will focus on structural timber construction and solid wood processors in the furniture and window construction industries during LIGNA.

For cross-laminated timber (CLT) manufacturers, Leitz reveals the new generation of Leitz TurboHawk finger jointing cutters for flat finger joints. It enables high feed rates without reducing workpiece quality. The profile accuracy of the tool ensures high-quality results in fingers joints. The cutting edges can also be changed easily and quickly. With the marathon-coated cutting edges which have large regrinding zones, the tool can also be reground several times.

With the new CentroPlan cutterhead, Leitz has developed a planing system that is economical while delivering optimal machining results for solid wood processing. It recycles used VariPlan knives and reinstalls them in this tool system as disposable reversible knives. The result is a sustainable cutterhead, ideal for customers who finds regrinding services difficult due to local conditions.

Leitz will be at Hall 15: Stand F16.
