Mrs Monika Brucklacher and Dr Cornelia Brucklacher receiving the “Top 500 Family Businesses Award” from Stefan Heidbreder, managing director of Stiftung Familienunternehmen.
The owners of Leitz, Mrs Monika Brucklacher and Dr Cornelia Brucklacher, received the prestigious “Top 500 Family Businesses Award”, presented by the Stiftung Familienunternehmen (Foundation for Family Businesses).
The award recognises the economic importance of family businesses, which contribute to Germany’s growth and employment and generate better development compared to non-family-run DAX enterprises, according to the Foundation’s research.
The Leitz Group is placed 198th on the list of largest German family-controlled companies and 44th in the state of Baden Württemberg.
Dr Brucklacher, main shareholder and chairman of advisory board, received the award from Stefan Heidbreder, managing director of the Foundation. She thanked her colleagues and paid tribute to her late father, Dr Dieter Brucklacher, who shaped the development of the family company for more than 40 years.
