La Belle electrique was a former industrial district before becoming Grenoble’s art space for electronic music. Hérault Arnod architectes designed a rough and rugged design using thick larch boards befitting its chic, hyper-modern character.
Spaces are designed for actors and spectators to move about as they please during a performance. DJs can spin tables at several platforms at different heights. Balconies extend out from the hall giving concert-goers a bit of calm to chill out or smoke a cigarette.
