Kastamonu Entegre celebrates acceptance of new Siempelkamp particleboard plant

On 1 May 2021, Kastamonu Entegre A.S. (KEAS) celebrated the acceptance of its new particleboard plant with a Siempelkamp Generation 9 ContiRoll® at the Samsun location.

Particularly pleasing to both companies was how the timeline of the plant beat some agreed deadlines. KEAS started three-shift operation just 18 days after the first board – one week earlier than scheduled. The nominal output for the main product was achieved shortly after the start of the three-shift operation, and acceptance itself took place one week before the agreed date. In addition, the entire production range from 6 m to 35 m boards was pre-run; the press line produces safely and reliably up to the design speed of 1,200 mm/s. A daily capacity of 2,000 m3 has already been reached.

“We would like to extend our congratulations to a strong customer team, to whom we sincerely say ‘teşekkürler’ for the top cooperation. We are proud that our long-standing cooperation results in another wood-based materials plant, which supports Kastomonu Entegre in its motivation to achieve the highest customer satisfaction. ‘We approach our business partners with respect, fairness and courtesy’ – this principle is anchored in Kastamonu Entegre’s Code of Ethics & Business Conduct. We have met this attitude in every area of our cooperation, from the management to the joint work on the construction site,” said Ulrich Kaiser, Head of Sales Wood Division at Siempelkamp.

Siempelkamp project manager Axel Weiss added: “At the time of signing the contract, it was not yet apparent what magnitude the Corona pandemic would develop. We successfully met this challenge. Working as highly motivated, competent teams on both sides was fun, and we’ll be happy to do it again.” Site manager Torsten Milk agrees: “The cooperation with the KEAS team was just great – everything fit.”
