The adhesive specialist will highlight reactive PUR hot melt adhesives, water-based products and process solutions designed to improve efficiency and supply security in North American manufacturing.
Jowat will showcase its portfolio of adhesive systems for industrial woodworking at the International Woodworking Fair (IWF), taking place from 25–28 Aug 2026 at the Georgia World Congress Centre in Atlanta, US.
The company will highlight developments in reactive PUR hot melt adhesives, water-based products and process solutions. It has also expanded production capacity at its facility in High Point, North Carolina, as part of its efforts to strengthen its presence in the North American market.
Local manufacturing is expected to improve supply capabilities and responsiveness to regional demand. Jowat said the proximity to customers reinforces its focus on quality, process reliability and application-focused technical support.
PUR technology for furniture applications
A key focus at IWF will be Jowat’s reactive PUR hot melt adhesives manufactured in the US. The technology provides high bond strength and consistent quality for demanding industrial applications.
For manufacturers in the woodworking and furniture industries, regional availability of PUR solutions can strengthen supply security and support efficient production processes.
Jowat’s PUR portfolio covers applications including edgebanding, profile wrapping and flat lamination. Products including Jowatherm PUR 608.00, Jowatherm PUR 605.65 and Jowatherm PUR 609.30 are designed for industrial production.
Jowacoll 110.60 in new packaging size
Jowat is expanding its dispersion adhesive range with a new 1-gallon container for Jowacoll 110.60. The packaging is intended to provide greater flexibility for smaller operations while reducing storage requirements for companies with lower or fluctuating consumption volumes.
The fast-setting PVAc adhesive is designed for applications requiring short pressing times and efficient production workflows. The new packaging combines the existing adhesive formulation with a format suited to the North American market.
Further development of 1K PU dispersions for 3D lamination
Jowat will also showcase developments in reactive dispersion technology for laminating furniture components with PVC foils.
The one-component PUD system Jowapur 150.21/25 requires no mixing, simplifying processing compared with two-component systems. The 1K technology can also reduce waste associated with limited pot lives.
Furniture components produced with the adhesive offer high heat resistance and strong adhesion, with testing showing pronounced fibre tear in the substrate. Tests typically demonstrate heat resistance of around 100°C. According to Jowat, these properties enable the system to meet relevant furniture industry requirements, including KCMA testing criteria from the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association.
Jowat 402.60 cleaner without hazard labelling
The company will also present Jowat 402.60, a cleaning agent for hot melt and dispersion adhesives. The product removes adhesive residues from machine parts and supports stable production conditions.
The formulation does not require a GHS hazard pictogram, which can simplify storage and transport. The cleaner is available in two packaging formats: 500ml spray bottles and 10-litre canisters.
