Jowat will be presenting their “Green Adhesives” product range at this year’s Holz-Handwerk. The company’s “Green Adhesives” products follow a holistic approach to sustainability and move aspects such as resource conservation, healthy living environments and occupational safety to the centre of modern bonding processes in furniture manufacturing.

For instance, Jowat will display the Jowatherm-Reaktant MR 607.90, a hotmelt adhesive with hazard-free labelling for general edgebanding purposes.

The Jowatherm-Reaktant MR 607.90 can be used for the bonding of established edgebands with through-feed edgebanders and is also supplied in the much demanded polyurethane reactive (PUR) granulate form. According to Jowat, it facilitates high-quality bonding with virtually invisible bondlines for ideal furniture designs.

Other “Green Adhesives” products by Jowat include the dispersion adhesives Jowacoll 103.10 and Jowacoll 103.30, with low emissions of formaldehyde, plasticisers and other ingredients and support the manufacture of products with low emissions. These two adhesives also meet durability class D3 and can be used for the bonding of hard and softwood species as well as for the flat lamination of wood-based materials.

In addition, Jowacoll 103.30 has been classified as having “low flammability” characteristics at the specified application amount and may also be used for interior finishing in shipbuilding.

Besides those, Jowat will be presenting the unfilled PUR hotmelt adhesive Jowatherm-Reaktant 608.00, with its colourless glue line, range of adhesion, optimal thermal stability, high initial strength, and reduced application amount for thin bondlines. The low-temperature hotmelt
adhesive Jowatherm 282.20 facilitates energy savings in processing.
