The new approvals strengthen the manufacturer’s adhesives portfolio in the construction sector.
Jowat, a leading industrial adhesive manufacturer, has secured KOMO certification for several of its products, reaffirming its commitment to quality, safety and customer confidence, while strengthening its position in the European construction market.
KOMO is one of the most respected quality marks in the Dutch construction industry and is increasingly recognised internationally. The certification assures architects, planners and building owners that products meet stringent construction regulations and quality standards, helping to minimise risks and ensure smooth project execution.
The adhesive Jowapur 686.20 has long been certified for bonding load-bearing timber under directive BRL 2338 (“adhesives for load-bearing wood constructions”, certificate number 33213). Jowat has now expanded its KOMO-certified range to include Jowapur 685.59/61 and Jowacoll 102.27, approved for non-structural applications under BRL 2339 (“adhesives for non-load-bearing applications”, certificate number 33458).
Additionally, the PUR hot melt adhesives Jowatherm PUR 609.00, 609.30, 609.50 and 609.60 have been listed under the SKH quality declaration (SKH-064), confirming that production processes, quality systems and formulations comply with BRL 2339. The products may carry the SKH quality logo following appropriate preliminary testing.
Jowatherm PUR 609.00, in particular, is widely used in demanding lamination processes for doors. Its high initial strength enables reliable bonding of materials with strong restoring forces, from standard laminates and veneers to metal components.
