Japan’s wooden door imports up 5%

Japan’s imports of wooden doors were up 5% year-on-year in August up 7% compared to July levels.
 
Its top three suppliers were still China (67%), the Philippines (17%) and Indonesia, trailing behind at 5%.
 
The main demand drivers were the new build and home renovation market as well as recent improvement in housing starts due to strong demand for apartments in major cities.
