Indonesia’s global competitiveness rises to 36th place

Indonesia’s competitiveness has risen five places to 36th out of 137 countries polled, according to the World Economic Forum Global Competitiveness Index 2017-2018.

Airlangga Hartarto, the Minister of Industry said Indonesia’s improving global competitiveness is good for investment flows but more must be done in terms of strengthening innovation in the industrial sector.
