Sumber Graha Sejahtera, an Indonesian producer of plywood and laminated veneer lumber (LVL), has invested in Raute R3-Series technology for their factories in Indonesia.

According to Raute, Sumber Graha Sejahtera decided to restart an existing plywood mill, choosing Raute for their production technologies.

The purchases include two units of Raute’s Veneer Peeling Line R3 in 4ft and one of the Veneer Peeling Line R3 in 8ft. The Veneer Peeling Line R3 offers optimal peeling geometry (OPG), which enables the peeling of high-quality veneer with good capacity and an ideal thickness tolerance compared to conventional spindle-less lathes.

Sumber Graha Sejahtera also purchased 20 units of Raute’s Veneer Patcher R3. The Veneer Patcher R3 uses butterfly-type patches, which achieves high patch retention without the need for manual repairing or gluing. With the Veneer Patcher R3’s integrated thermo-bond taping, loose composed joints and veneer edge splits can be more easily fixed, adding higher recovery.

Sumber Graha Sejahtera also purchased one unit of the semi-automatic Veneer Scarf-jointing Line. Raute’s scarf-jointing lines allow flexibility for the production of plywood of various sizes. Scarf-jointing can be used to produce any length of veneer sheets that are long-grain and strong.

Raute reported that these placed orders are the largest single order for Raute R3-Series received in 2022 for Indonesia. The equipment will be delivered in 2023.
