Manufacturers and furniture makers will have a new place to call home soon in Telangana, India. There, a plan for an industrial park specifically geared for the vast scope that is home décor is in the making. Set to be built on a plot of land sprawling over hundreds of acres, the park is slated to bring in investments from ranging from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) found on the domestic market, to large companies, especially names from Southeast Asia (SEA) and China.
The park, like many other up-and-coming industrial clusters in the country, will be ready around mid-2017. From a financial viewpoint, it is viable for India to cater to its burgeoning market, rather than importing furniture from Malaysia and China.
