Improvement in transportation boosts Nankang furniture exports

As the Ganzhou (in Jiangxi Province, China)  timber inspection zone was recently upgraded, trade through the zone surged.

Timber imports to Nankang, in western Ganzhou city, grew by more than 200 percent in the year, and furniture exports expanded three times.

Currently, Nankang has become one of the main furniture production bases in Central China. And one of the reasons for the rise in exports is also due to improve transportation. Since the upgrading of the zone the Ganzhou Railway International Container Center operates a special weekly service to carry furniture from Nankang to Shenzhen Yantian Port.
