On Monday, 13th March, Hardwoods Distribution Inc. (Hardwoods) disclosed its procurement of Eagle Plywood and Lumber (Eagle) through its subsidiary, Rugby Holdings LLC (Rugby) for a total of CAD$538,000 (USD$400,000) with an added CAD$269,000 (USD$200,000) subject to future sales.
Located in Dallas, Texas, Eagle is a single site wholesale distributor dealing with the distribution of non-structural architectural grade building materials to customers supplying end-products to the industrial, institutional construction, residential, retail and commercial end-markets, with yearly sales estimated to be at USD$5 million.
The acquisition will be amalgamated into Hardwoods’ extant distribution facility in Dallas, Rugby.
President and CEO of Hardwoods, Rob Brown, commented, “This acquisition is a good example of our ability to leverage the robust pipeline we acquired as part of the acquisition of Rugby Architectural Building Products last year. Dallas is a significant market and the addition of Eagle to our existing operations in the region adds customers and bench strength to our team.”
