The turnover of Hagebau Handelsgesellschaft increased by 3.5% in the first quarter to €1.5billion. In the specialised trade sector, purchasing volumes increased by 1.6% to €826million. Business in the timber sector had also developed along over-proportionately good lines with an increase of 5.1% to €183.6million achieved. The increases was recorded for all timber ranges, according to Hagebau. The largest increase was in relation to its own-brand – Wunderwerk – under which, for example, parquet flooring and decking is sold.
In the retail trade sector net sales turnover (export turnover of retailers with the customer) of the 373 German and Austrian Hagebau stores was marginally above the figure of the previous year at €441.8million.
The turnover improvement achieved in the first quarter means that the positive trend from the preceding quarter has continued. In the fourth quarter of 2015, the cooperation achieved an increase of 6.1% thus compensating previous declines. The entire period of 2015 was concluded with the group turnover at a marginally higher level of €6.09billion.
