The new range is designed for applications such as doors, windows and profile manufacturing.

Freud has launched a new range of circular saw blades designed for cutting aluminium and PVC profiles, as manufacturers seek improved precision and efficiency in industrial processing.
The LU5H range has been developed for thin-wall aluminium applications, including profiles used in doors, windows and other construction components.
The company said the blades are suitable for use on single- and double-head cutting machines, as well as CNC systems, and can process aluminium profiles with wall thicknesses of up to 4.5mm, including those with integrated plastic elements.
Freud said the range was developed in response to industry demand for improved cut quality, reduced rework and longer tool life.
Focus on cutting performance
The LU5H blades incorporate a high-precision body designed to improve cutting accuracy and surface finish. Thin laser slots are used to reduce vibration during operation, while improved bore precision is intended to support more stable rotation and optimal machine coupling.
The range also features a newly developed coating designed to enhance blade balance and provide corrosion resistance, supporting more consistent performance over time.
According to the company, an optimised tooth geometry helps to reduce chip adhesion and improve cutting smoothness. A triple-chip configuration is used to distribute cutting loads more evenly and produce a cleaner finish.
The blades are manufactured using Freud’s H01K carbide, which is designed to balance cutting quality with durability in aluminium applications.
