Raute has announced that it has sold its first Green Veneer Composing Line R7 to Tolko Industries, a manufacturer of forest products based in in Heffley Creek, British Columbia, Canada.

The new generation of Green Veneer Composing line R7 is said to tape together green random veneers to make half or full veneer sheets. It automatically collects clipped randoms after peeling and compose them into full sheets before drying.

According to Raute, this maximises the utilisation of raw material and improves veneer recovery up to 4%.

The camera analyser also maximises green veneer recovery, and the strong taped veneer joints do not break during the drying process.

The line will be installed and run in the summer of 2022.
