Fagus-GreCon announces management team changes in GreCon China

Timo Ren, incoming managing director at GreCon China

Fagus-GreCon has announced a change in their managing director for GreCon China. With effect from 31 Jul 2022, Timo Ren will become the managing director, taking care of the company’s market position’s expansion in China.

Ren will succeed Ralf Schäckel, who will return to the parent company and share his experiences in the fire prevention business area at Fagus-GreCon Greten in Alfeld, Lower Saxony, Germany.

Schäckel had been responsible for the strategic further development of GreCon China, and he played a key role in the brand’s placement on the Asian market.

“We thank Ralf Schäckel for 15 years of great commitment and entrepreneurial performance. From mid-August, he will share his experiences by supporting the team at our Alfeld location as technical sales manager,” said Uwe Kahmann, managing director of Fagus-GreCon.

Ren will assume the overall responsibility in his capacity as managing director of GreCon China. Ren holds a degree in communications engineering. He had been a general manager in the Asian market before he changed over to assume the same position at GreCon China in January 2022.

Ren concluded: “In recent years, the GreCon brand has earned an excellent reputation as the market and technology leader in China, a reputation we must continue to confirm and expand in the future. Despite the country’s restrictive COVID policy, we can still perform our activities in a dynamic way, for example by scheduling customer visits with increased flexibility and participating in trade fairs, such as the Interzum in Guangzhou.

“One of our future core tasks is to further improve the service level for Chinese customers and to further reduce our response and delivery times notwithstanding the COVID-induced market situation.”
