Export prices rise in Malaysia

Malaysia’s exports rose 1.5% to RM67.58 billion in August from a year ago. This was far removed from the decline forecasted by economists.

Malaysia’s International Trade and Industry Ministry (MITI) said in a press release that compared to July’s exports of RM59.85 billion, exports rose 12.9% to RM67.58 billion in August, which was driven higher by a strong performance in the Singapore, China and U.S. markets.
