Estonian Plywood AS to build a new plywood facility

With a €30 million (US$35.7 million) investment, Estonian Plywood AS, a subsidiary of Lemeks Grupp based in Estonia, is set to construct a facility to produce plywood and birch veneer, according to the Baltic Course. The materials will come from the approximate 10 hectares (24.7 acres) of industrial near Jõgeva.

The plant’s production volume will be around 25,000 to 30,000cbm of birch plywood, and for which 65,000 to 85,000cbm of raw birch logs would be needed.

Production is slated to begin in 2019, and will employ around 120 to 150 people when at full capacity.
