EGGER’s surface innovation ST76 Matex Rough Matt and the new Doppia Black-Gold accent edge were each awarded a “Special Mention” at the German Design Award 2017 in Frankfurt.

“Special Mentions” are awarded to works that demonstrate good solutions, honouring the commitment of companies and designers.
The ST76 Matex Rough Matt for example, is modelled on a mottled and softly brushed natural stone surface, and can be used on a wide range of stone reproductions. This look-and-feel combination of matt and stone is currently popular for surfaces.

The Doppia Black-Gold furniture edge F8982 also addresses current trends in accents and contrasts in furniture design. It is particularly well-suited for upscale interior design, on furniture fronts, table tops, and kitchen and bathroom furniture.
This year’s German Design Award received over 4,000 submissions. The international premium prize of the German Design Council honours unique design trends in the international design landscape. Winners were announced in Frankfurt on February 10.
