
The Supervisory Board of HOMAG Group has appointed Dr Sergej Schwarz to the executive board, effective 1 Jan 2022. This means that the executive board will consist of three members even after the retirement of the Chairman of the CEO, Ralf W. Dieter, on 31 Dec 2021: Dr Daniel Schmitt as the new CEO, Rainer Gausepohl as the Chief Financial Officer, and Dr Sergej Schwarz.
Schwarz joined the HOMAG Group back in 2016 as head of the Edge Processing business unit. Since March 2021, he has also been spokesman of the Board of Management of HOMAG in Schopfloch, Germany, and managing director of HOMAG Kantentechnik in Lemgo, Germany. As a member of the executive board, he will in future be responsible for the global activities of the Edge Processing business unit and the project business with large-scale plants. In addition, he is responsible for the India location of the HOMAG Group.
Before joining the HOMAG Group, the graduate engineer held various management positions at Schaeffler, a manufacturer for the automatic and aerospace industries in German towns Herzogenaurach and Schweinfurt for many years, most recently as vice president of the Renewable Energies sector.
