Thailand’s Metro-Ply Group was the first company to order Dieffenbacher’s new CPS+ continuous press when it was launched in April 2015. Now, less than two years later the Group’s particleboard line 3 produced the first board on March 20.
The plant will operate in three shifts and has an annual output of over 600,000m³ particleboard, all for worldwide export.
The press measures 2.65m in width and 40.5 m in length. Dieffenbacher also supplied the drum dryer, the core layer sifter, the forming station with air spreading system—including roller deck, the forming line with prepress, and the entire raw board handling system and the automated raw board storage system.
Another CPS+, Metro-Ply’s second and the third one sold by Dieffenbacher will also be in operation very soon. Metro-Ply’s subsidiary Advance Fiber, based in Kanchanaburi, plans to commission a new THDF plant with this press in the second quarter of 2017.
