Leading producer of lumber in Canada, Canfor Southern Pine, will expand its plant in Moultrie, Georgia, United States (U.S.), with a US$28 million investment. According to the Woodworking Network, the expansion will create 60 new jobs in construction, 30 in supporting roles, and an additional 10 at the mill.
In preparation for the expansion, the city of Moultrie as well as a community college nearby are working with Canfor to come up with training programmes for prospective employees.
