Brazil’s 2016 furniture exports is expected to increase about 6% over 2015, according to the Brazilian High-end Furniture Manufacturers Association (ABIMAD). While this figure does not spell huge growth, it should help the sector to maintain profit levels for high-end furniture.
Exports to Argentina, one of Brazil’s most important export markets, are likely to increase as the new government tackles the economy. Recovery in the U.S. housing market will also be welcome as U.S. is a major buyer of Brazilian furniture. Manufacturers are also targeting Europe. Exports to this destination is likely to grow in 2016.
